At Sugar Glaze, we specialize in the art of sugar, creating specialty cakes for any budget, all across North East Florida. Each creation is specialty baked using high-quality, fresh ingredients customized for your dream event. Owner, Francisca Alexander is a certified pastry chef and graduate of the Auguste Escoffier School of Culinary Arts. As an art lover, she is also an accredited event designer with experience in planning personalized celebrations for her clients. With a strong emphasis on creativity, Francisca can help you create an occasion filled with personality and sweetness.
If you would've told me that I would be a pastry chef and I would have my own specialty bakery, I would have looked at you crazy. This all started whenever my kids or family had a birthday or celebration, coming up and I was struggling to find a cake that would be great for them but it would always be lackluster in some way.
That is when I took it upon my self to actually make the cakes and designs. After taking the initiative to make cakes for my loved ones, after a while everyone kept telling me I should start selling these. I only agreed to do so once I went and got proper training. Since then I realized the beauty in making cakes is in who it is for and what it means to them. It is such an honor to be a part of people's lives and help them celebrate their sweetest moments.
